Hey Snobs, Kelsea here! As I’m sure you’re aware, flying on planes can really suck the life out of your skin, and for me, being a jet-setter who is constantly in the air, it meant that I really had to take my on-flight skin care routine seriously. I am not down with the idea of having dry, puffy, and broken out skin after landing, and especially due to improper care, something that could have easily been prevented. Thankfully from enough experience, I’ve learned how to keep my skin care routine in check while traveling.
From one snob to another, check out my go-to on-flight & travel skin care tips that will help you keep your skin looking its very best so you can fully enjoy your trip without worrying about putting on any extra cover up.
1. Stay Hydrated!
Hydration is key, snobs! Staying hydrated is essential when traveling, as dehydration doesn’t just affect you internally, but also externally. Cole and I always pack reusable water bottles that we can continuously fill up whenever we’re on the go, including the airplane cabin. Drinking enough water will help eliminate toxins and keep your skin looking fresh and revitalized for your adventure ahead!

2. Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize!
As you probably know, airplane cabins recycle air (I know, gross!), and that air can be so very drying to your skin. Make sure to use super hydrating face and body lotion before the flight, and then keep it in your carry-on for easy access, just incase you feel the urge to use some during the flight.

3. Travel Bare-Faced
This may be difficult for some of you snobs to do, and I completely understand the hesitation, but try not to wear makeup when traveling, or at-least on the flight as this can be a recipe for breakouts galore. I always pack cleansing wipes so that I can take off any makeup that I was wearing prior to the flight. Cause let’s be real here, who are you trying to impress on board a flight anyway? I don’t know about you, but most often I’m just trying to sleep my way through it!

4. Eye Mask 101
I often found myself getting puffy eyes after a long flight, especially when it was hard to sleep through it. However, I have found my life savior in packing a silk eye mask to use while trying to catch some z’s in the air. This helps fight the puffiness and also helps you fall and stay asleep throughout those long flights.

5. Sheet Mask 101
Another tip I learned along the way of my travels was to bring moisturizing sheet masks for flights. What’s so great about these face masks is the fact that you don’t need to use the bathroom to wash them off, or use any brushes or mirrors to apply them. I just simply place one of these on my bare face at one point during the flight, leave it on for 10-20 minutes, and bam! – instant hydration and detoxification to the face. It’s like a mini on-flight facial!

So there you have it, snobs! I suggest using all of these super simple tips and products the next time you travel by air. They will drastically help leave your skin feeling and looking just as fresh, hydrated, and breakout free as it was before you stepped on to that face-dehydrator of a plane!
I’d love to hear what your skin thinks so be sure to comment below, and until then…
