Hey Snobs, Kelsea here!
So guess what? Candle Aromatherapy is a real thing! It’s a natural and alternative approach to help ease your mind and body. After a long and stressful day, I absolutely love to relax and unwind with a scented candlelit bath. This creates the perfect calm and zen atmosphere and is the prime reliever to help rid yourself of stress and anxiety.
But don’t just take it from me; it’s actually scientifically proven that moods and anxiety can be lifted due to distinguished scents and fragrances. It’s also nothing new and in fact, aromatherapy has been used for centuries! The ancient Egyptians were some of the first to reap the benefits of aromatherapy by using essential oils in baths and massages.
As you know, we are all naturally drawn to things that smell good, and thus, make us feel good. Do you snobs ever get that sensation of a certain smell that takes you back to a distinct place and memory?! Cause I do! – But even more-so, just as smells are powerful enough to take you back in time, they can also help relieve the stress of everyday life, enhance mental clarity, help you fall asleep better, and also create a sensual mood and setting. Which by the way, the perfect scents to create a sensual mood are: vanilla, rose, and sandalwood!
I just love candles and aromatherapy so much that I wanted to give you snobs a little rundown on what scents are best used for:
Promotes a soothing and relaxing vibe. It also helps to relieve stress, depression, anxiety, and nervous disorders, and is great for helping you fall asleep. PLUS, it’s a natural alternative to treat headaches. I LOVE to put lavender in my baths.
Citrus ~ Grapefruit, Lemon, Orange
Citrus scents are invigorating, brighten a room and give a super fresh and clean feeling. They also help eliminate anxiety and stress, AND help you concentrate!
The sweetest and most popular scent of them all, vanilla is known to be a natural aphrodisiac (hence it’s a perfect sensual mood scent). It’s also naturally warming and soothing. #LOVE
This spicy scent is known to help with exhaustion and fatigue. It also has wonderful effects on your nerves, helps to calm you down, and makes you more aware. For my husband Cole and I, this scent always brings back the best (and yummiest) memories of the winter holidays.
Also a deep and relaxing sensual scent, very common in Asia and spas.
Rose is perfect for relaxation and calmness, and can also help balance female hormones.
Sandalwood has a relaxing and calming ability as well, but what differentiates it from other scents is its ability to help soothe irritation. This scent is often used in meditation, and is also the perfect smell for an ambient setting.
